SECTION 5 - HEALTH HAZARD DATA

ACUTE EFFECTS: Contains corrosive materials which causes burns.

Inhalation: May cause irritation, nausea, headache, dizziness, pain, decreased breathing capacity, internal bleeding, chemical pneumonia, depending on severity of exposure.

Eye Contact: May cause severe burns that result in damage & even blindness.

Skin Contact: May cause burns, tissue destruction, skin damage. Effects may be delayed.

Ingestion: Can cause severe irritation, burns, tissue ulceration, gastrointestinal damage, even death.

CHRONIC EFFECTS: Tissue damage depending on location and degree of exposure.

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: Dermatitis.

EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES

Eye Contact: Immediately flush large amounts of water for 15 minutes while holding lids apart, then seek medical attention.

Skin Contact: Immediately remove contaminated clothing & footwear & wash contaminated areas with plenty of water for 15 minutes. If tissue damaged, seek medical attention.

Inhalation: If person experiences nausea, headache or dizziness, move to fresh air until symptoms disappear. If breath is difficult, administer oxygen, keep person warm and at rest. Call a physician. Ensure adequate ventilation and provide necessary respiratory protection before person returns to work.

Ingestion: DO NOT INDUCE VOMITING. Immediately drink large quantities of water. Get immediate medical attention. Never give anything by mouth if the person is unconscious or having convulsions.

SECTION 6 - CONTROL AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES

Respiratory Protection (specify type): NIOSH/MSHA respirator approved for your conditions of exposure. For emergencies, a NIOSH/MSHA approved positive pressure breathing apparatus should be readily available.

Protective Gloves: Chemical resistant clothing, impervious gloves, rubber apron, rubber boots.

Eye Protection: Chemical goggles, faceshield. always wear eye protection when working with chemicals. Do not wear contact lenses when working with chemicals.

Ventilation Requirements: Normal room ventilation is generally adequate. Use adequate local exhaust ventilation where mist or spray may be generated.

Other Protective Clothing & Equipment: Clothing as needed to minimize contact.

Hygienic Work Practices: Do not eat, drink or smoke in work area. Wash immediately on contact.

SECTION 7 - PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE

SMALL SPILLS: Wipe up product, rinse soiled area with water down drain.

LARGE SPILL: Stop leak at the source and collect into suitable container, then treat as a small spill.

Waste Disposal Methods: Dispose of in accordance with all local, state and federal regulations.

Precautions To Be Taken In Handling & Storage: Store in original shipping containers. Keep closed when not in use. Shelf life 1 year. Protect from extreme heat and cold. Avoid bodily contact.

Other Precautions &/or Special Hazards: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Always store unused portions in original container with lid closed securely. avoid temperature extremes. Read & follow label directions.
