EXTINGUISHER MEDIA: Foam, CO2, Dry Media.

Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards: Exposure to temperature above 1200°F may cause bursting.

SECTION 4 - REACTIVITY HAZARD DATA

STABILITY [ X ] STABLE [ ] UNSTABLE

HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION [ ] WILL [ X  ] WILL NOT OCCUR

Incompatibility (Mat. to avoid): Alkali or alkaline earth metals- powered Al, Zn, Be, etc.

Conditions to Avoid: Open flames & exposure to high temperatures.

Hazardous Decomposition Products: Decomposition products are hazardous. This material can be decomposed by high temperatures (open flames, glowing metal surfaces, etc.) forming hydrofluoric acid and possibly carbonyl fluoride.

SECTION 5 - HEALTH HAZARD DATA

PRIMARY ROUTES OF ENTRY: [ X ] INHALATION [ ] INGESTION [ X ] SKIN ABSORPTION [ X ] EYE [ ] NOT HAZARDOUS

ACUTE EFFECTS

Inhalation: Inhalation of high concentrations of vapor is harmful & may cause heart irregularities, unconsciousness, or death. Intentional misuse or deliberate inhalation may cause death without warning. Vapors are heavier than air and may accumulate in low lying or confined areas.

Eye Contact: "Frostbite" like effects may occur if the liquid or escaping vapors contact the eye.

Skin Contact: Immediate effects of overexposure may include: Frostbite if liquid or vapor contact is made with the skin.

Ingestion: Ingestion is not considered a potential route of exposure.

CHRONIC EFFECTS:

Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: N/E

EMERGENCY FIRST AID PROCEDURES

Eye Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush with large amounts of cool running water for at least 15 minutes while holding upper and lower lids open. Call a physician.

Skin Contact: In case of contact, immediately flush skin with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Remove contaminated clothing and shoes. Call a physician. Treat for frostbite if necessary by gently warming affected area. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.

Inhalation: If high concentrations are inhaled, immediately remove to fresh air. Keep person calm. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. Call a physician.

Ingestion: Ingestion is not considered a potential route of exposure.

Note to physician: Because of possible disturbances of cardiac rhythm, catecholamine drugs, such as epinephrine, should be used with special caution in situations of emergency life support.

SECTION 6 - CONTROL AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES

Respiratory Protection (specify type): None needed for proper use in accordance with label directions.

Protective Gloves: None needed for proper use in accordance with label directions. Use impervious gloves if hand contact will be made.

Eye Protection: None needed unless it is anticipated that a splash or spray will occur, then wear safety glasses or chemical proof goggles.

Ventilation Requirements: Provide local exhaust to keep concentration of Section II ingredients within acceptable limits.

Other Protective Clothing & Equipment: N/A

Hygienic Work Practices: Do not eat, drink or smoke in work area. Wash immediately on contact.

SECTION 7 - PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING AND USE

Steps To Be Taken If Material Is Spilled Or Released: Allow propellant to evaporate. Maintain local exhaust and adequate ventilation. No smoking. Keep sparks, heat sources and open flame far away from spill or leak. Cover with absorbent material and sweep up. Wash area to prevent slipping. Dispose of soaked absorbent material in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws.

Waste Disposal Methods: Aerosol cans, when emptied and depressurized through normal use, pose no disposal hazard and should be recycled. Consult Federal, State and local authorities for approved procedures.

Precautions To Be Taken In Handling & Storage: Store in a cool, dry area away from heat or open flame. Do not store at temperatures above 120°F.

Other Precautions &/or Special Hazards: KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. For industrial and institutional use only.
